According to a recent survey, California walnuts continue their triumphal trail of success. In the year 2015, German consumers decided on a walnut product about 4.6 times.
But California walnuts are not only a popular snack, their versatility convinces at breakfast, baking, in salads and desserts as well as in main courses. The crunchy nuts are being appreciated for their health benefits, too. 55 % of the interviewees claimed that California walnuts taste best.
The growing awareness of California walnuts’ health advantages are another reason for their great reputation. 63 % of the respondents stated that walnuts are a good source of omega 3 fatty acids and 53 % know about their influence on the reduction of the cholesterol level.
