Savory Walnut Granola with Ayran & Cucumber

Ingredients

For the Granola
66 % California walnuts (coarsely chopped)
33 % quinoa (puffed)
0.5 % cinnamon powder
0.5 % fine sea salt
For the cucumber
1/2 cucumber
salt
pepper
lime juice and grated lime zest
ayran

Description

Recipe developed by Heiko Antoniewicz for the California Walnut Commission 2020.

Application

The granola made from quinoa and walnuts is suitable as canned fitness muesli or as eady-made product with the granola e.g. in the lid, offered in the cooling shelf.

Preparation

Granola

Mix all ingredients well and fill into jars.
 
Cucumber

Shred cucumber into fine strips and season with salt, pepper and lime. Mix granola with cucumber and ayran according to taste and enjoy.
