In early October, the California Walnut Commission invited an international group of journalists, influencers, industry insiders, and opinion leaders to an exclusive Harvest Tour in California. The aim of the trip was to showcase creative uses of walnuts as an ingredient, provide exciting insights into cultivation, harvest, and processing, and make the quality, versatility, and benefits of California walnuts tangible for the German market.

Participants experienced the harvest live, learned about innovative processing methods, and exchanged ideas with experienced walnut growers. A special highlight was lunch right among the walnut trees, as well as an exclusive dinner at a winery. During the culinary workshop, new recipe ideas were developed and tried out together – perfect for experiencing the versatility of walnuts and gathering inspiration for your own creations.
